I work as a vol for a local charity~a small charity~even when there are only four of us at a meeting there will be four different definitions of the words "local involvement" or "youth leadership". semantics are important. in research we talk about "operationalising" a variable~it leaves no room for misinterpretation of what is being talked about, changed or measured. i agree emphatically with communication.
