2026 Week Notes
Collection of weekly reflection in 2026 covering tech notes, business insights, homeschooling milestones, and spiritual growth.
# Week 7 (2026-02-14)
- Boys went for a one day trip to Shimla with church youth. They had such a lot of fun.
- Installed n8n on Opalstack. Now I don't have to pay additional for another service; this has been running well.
- After bit of confusion around how to proceed with Zlynks, I coded an admin module, fixed a bug (in how tags are appended); happy with the progress
# Week 6 (2026-02-07)
- Drove to Delhi/Noida for a friend's wedding. Driving on the expressway at 122 km/hr was thrilling.
# Week 5 (2026-01-31)
- Posted Rethinking the Engineering Process with MCP to reddit to understand AEO; the post was removed. Not a good start :-(
# Week 4 (2026-01-24)
- Went for our annual mini-vacation & retreat to Jungle Lodge Resort. Didn't disappoint.
- Published What I use
# Week 3 (2026-01-17)
- Extremely productive week
- Preached first sermon of the year - Developing Spiritual Perception
- Created a static Twitter archive via antigravity. You can view it here: https://tweets.jjude.com/
- Wrote a minimal admin frontend for Read2Reflect with DataStar
- Wrote a firefox bookmarklet to store interesting essays into R2R. Added few more interesting essays.
- Wrote a better cache handling for shuffling the essays
- Wrote a whole lot of code for Zylnks
- created a product grid of images of books
- wrote backup script to backup every hour; scheduled as a cron on OpalStack
- Prompted cursor to review both frontend (sveltekit) & backend (go) for security & performance; All of the code review comments were relevant
- Implemented code review comments with antigravity
- Wrote E2E tests using playwright
- Images are served via a cdn (using google cloud sdk for storing images)
- Added 20 more books to the list
- All code generated via antigravity or cursor. I review code or chat with the code to understand;
- agy is able to reason out to debug issues, write deployment script for OpalStack. Impressed.
- When things workout well, it builds momentum. Seems like a flywheel in motion.
# Week 2 (2026-01-10)
- Prepared my first sermon of the year - Developing Spiritual Perception
- Developing with agy is at once amazing and utterly disappointing. It helps me to debug a complex infrastructure issue but complicates a simple logic.
- Implemented downloading images for books in Zlynks; Happy the app is coming up well
- Weekly some of us are meeting over zoom and track our 12 weeks goal. Super happy about this.
- Jerry started learning Chinese. He seems to enjoy it. In a test, he scored 2nd (out of 7). Everyone else is a corporate employee.
- Temp is 5℃ & so cold; This week is going to be cold like this.
- Met Hemant, with whom I use to run DSD (startup) a decade back. So many fond memories.
# Week 1 (2026-01-03)
- Went to night service on 1st. Came back only at 3 am. Slept, ate, and slept.
- Late in the evening, went to Cafe Well-Being for reading, relaxing, and some snacks.
- Published Year In Review - 2025
