Already Equipped for Your Struggles
Building a flywheel of success for life and career
“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” — 1 Corinthians 10:13
Life is a struggle. But as Paul says, you'll face only those struggles you can handle. This statement comes from Paul—flogged, starved, thrown into prison, and eventually executed.
When I go through difficulty—when my child is admitted to the hospital, or a sudden escalation happens at work, or I get a late-night client call—I remind myself: I can do this. I'm already equipped for this. And most importantly, God is in control. Those words don’t erase the problem, but they clear my mind. They give me strong footing to act boldly.
And I have noticed something. Every time I face a hard thing and come through it, I become more capable of facing the next. It’s as if God is training me through trials, stretching me without breaking me, growing me without overwhelming me. That cycle builds not just resilience but quiet confidence.
I don’t claim to have it all together. But I do know this: Life is a struggle. I will be tested only for what I am equipped. And God is in control.
Accepting these three truths gives me the energy and mental clarity to keep going with hope. I hope it does for you too.
